Things we remember...
On Nov 6, 12:14 pm, "Sea Wasp (Ryk E. Spoor)" ...Very interesting. The point of my posting, though, was the link you deleted, to the page of a computer science god, one of whose lesser claims to fame is that he doesn't use email.

In article <7lm260F3dn6n...@mid.individua l.net>, ...Todd Rundgren, _A Capella_, 1985: heavy sampling and electronic processing to make instruments of his voice.

Things we remember...
...A reference, of course, to "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", her most famous case of lyrics-mangling. John Savard

In article <slrnhfb56m.35s.wcit...@wcitoa n-via.eternal-september.org>, ...Page 5 (document page #595) has the rest of the table, including the totals by state (BTW, note the 100+ years old column).

...Also, these colored margarine bans were *state* laws, not Federal ones. Thus, they stayed around longer in states with a lot of dairy farmers. Remember that apportionment tends to favor rural areas. John Savard

Things we remember...
...All I can say is that you apparently have smaller airports than the ones I use. Having someone wait "at the curb" doesn't help when you have to figure out exactly where in the "loading and unloading only zone" you have to be, and when you need to cut across the 5 lanes of traffic to get to the curb. And then deal with the other cars that are... more »

...I like it too, but I call it "ripping off the people who pay cash."

Things we remember...
...In some denominations, while women may be modest about their dress, and not wear *fancy* hats, as there does happen to be a Bible verse which commands a woman to cover her head in church, it is in those denominations taken seriously. John Savard

...I get weirded out by the casual references to Netflix in this group. It was Netflix that convinced me I needed a pop-up blocker. I couldn't imagine myself ever doing business with those fucking spammers.
